Jackson started shooting when he was 6 years old, competing in American Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays. He was a member of the Fudd Dusters Shotgun Sporting team for 12 years. While on the team, he won several individual and team medals at the State and National SCTP Championships in American Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays, and International Trap.
The Battle Creek, Michigan, native happened to be at the John A. Halter Shooting Sports Education Center at Hillsdale College competing in an ATA competition the day the center opened their first bunker. The range master invited Jackson and his brother to try out the new bunker. After that, they were both hooked on International Trap.
Jackson has dreamed of making the USA Shooting team for years and hopes to get an opportunity to represent the country at a World Championship and someday, make the U.S. Olympic Team.
